Ellen Ormond, PhD
Ellen Ormond, PhD, is a psychologist at UPMC CancerCenter. She works at Hillman Cancer Center in the Department of Biobehavioral Medicine in Oncology and is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. Ormond earned a doctorate in clinical psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology. She worked at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC before joining the Behavioral Medicine Clinical Service at the Cancer Centers.
She has wide-ranging experience dealing with the psychological issues facing cancer patients and their families. Dr. Ormond has also taught courses at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine on topics such as psychosocial issues for cancer patients, symptom management, and end-of-life issues.
