Annual Review and Mandatory Training for Volunteers

Each year, UPMC, the Department of Health, The Joint Commission, and other governing bodies require that UPMC staff and volunteers complete annual mandatory training. This training is required annually to provide awareness of all current policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.

If you have been notified by Volunteer and Community Services that you are due for your annual review, please follow the steps below to complete the annual review process by the due date that was given to you:

  1. Review the HIPAA Manual (PDF).
  2. Complete the online Annual Self-Learning Quiz, print and sign the Completion Certificate, provided at the end of the quiz.
  3. Complete the Volunteer Feedback Form (PDF).
  4. Email Denise DiTommaso at ditommasoda@upmc.edu to determine the best way for you to return the documents to the Volunteer and Community Services office.

Note: If you do not have access to a printer, computers and printers are available in the Gumberg Family Resource Center, (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) located on the ground floor of Hillman Cancer Center.
