Biography

Gerald R. Medwick, DO, is a clinical assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a radiation oncologist at UPMC CancerCenter, the director of Triangle Radiation Oncology- UPMC, and the medical director of UPMC/HVHS Cancer Center at The Medical Center, Beaver. He is engaged in the general practice of radiation oncology, including the staging and treatment with external beam therapy and brachytherapy for most common solid tumors.

Dr. Medwick is board-certified in therapeutic radiology and a fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology. He received an undergraduate degree in nuclear engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa., a Master of Science in Radiation Health from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, and completed a doctorate of osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Medwick completed his residency in radiation oncology at Allegheny General Hospital, and at UPMC, both located in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Medwick is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Brachytherapy Society, American College of Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Royal Society of Medicine, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
