Melvin Deutsch, MD (Radiation Oncology)
Melvin Deutsch, MD, is the Raul Mercado Professor of Radiation Oncology in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is specialized in children’s cancer treatments with radiation, breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and lymphomas.
Dr. Deutsch is board-certified in therapeutic radiology. He completed an undergraduate degree at Columbia College in New York. Dr. Deutsch then earned a medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in general surgery at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. He then completed a fellowship in therapeutic radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Dr. Deutsch is a member of professional organizations including the American Urologic Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction.
