UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center
A program of UPMC CancerCenter and Jameson Health System
UPMC CancerCenter, partner with University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI), has partnered with community-based hospitals throughout the region to develop one of the largest integrated community networks of cancer physicians and health care specialists in the country.
UPMC CancerCenter at UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center, a program of UPMC CancerCenter and Jameson Health System, allows patients to receive the highest level of cancer care without having to leave their communities.
UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center, a 50-50 joint venture between UPMC CancerCenter and Jameson Health System, opened in late 2005 to provide radiation therapy, including IMRT, to the New Castle area. UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center is a part of one of the largest integrated community networks of cancer physicians and health care specialists in the country. It was recently accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR); there are only 18 such centers in the tri-state area.
UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center is housed in the Medical Arts building, adjacent to the UPMC Medical Oncology Center. This center allows patients to receive the highest level of cancer care without having to leave their communities. UPMC/Jameson Cancer Center is also a clinical teaching site for students of the Community College of Allegheny County.
The Radiation Oncology Program of UPMC CancerCenter is accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). As the largest ACRO accredited system in the United States, the Radiation Oncology Program is committed to the highest quality in radiation oncology care.
