A team of oncologists and oncology nurses manage each patient's course of treatment and care. Patients have access to IMRT, a state-of-the-art technology that more accurately targets radiation to a tumor, minimizing treatment side effects. CT scans give oncologists precise information to better understand the disease and develop the best course of treatment. The spacious reception area allows for comfortable interaction between patients and staff.
UPMC CancerCenter, Natrona Heights, part of UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, was opened in 2004 to provide comprehensive cancer care to residents of the Alle-Kiski Valley.
