Testicular Cancer Patient Testimonial
Everyone has a story. Each of these testimonials tells a real-life story about how our patients are living with their diagnosis with help from the expert clinicians and compassionate staff at UPMC CancerCenter.
Greg Haynes - Testicular Cancer
In September 2011, Greg found a lump on his left testicle. When November came and the lump was still there, he decided to get it checked. The ultrasound showed something wasn't right, but it wasn't until the doctor said, “cancer” that we really understood the gravity. Greg had surgery the very next day and from then on began active surveillance – monthly blood work and CT scans every three months. About a year following surgery, Dr. Theodore Crandall told us the cancer had returned. We moved Greg's treatment to Cranberry to be closer to home. Today, he is doing much better and has the strength to play with our daughter! UPMC gave my husband, and our family, our lives back.
